The Secretary of the People’s Committee of Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation met in Tripoli Former Italian Foreign Minister Massimo Dalima and the delegation accompanying him who are on a visit to Libya. The Italian Minister, one of the architects of the Friendship and Cooperation Treaty signed by Libya and Italy, said he was prepared to exert efforts to enhance relations between the two countries. Bilateral relations were discussed during the meeting attended by the Secretary of the Libyan People’s Bureau in Rome. The Leader of the Revolution Monday evening received groups’ delegation of Idnan Tribes in the three provinces in north Mali.The delegation included Yighlis Agh Youfin , the chief of the armed group that handed its arms to the Libyan mediator during the last two days in response to plea of the Leader, the high and permanent patron of peace in the Cen-Sad Community, to the armed groups in north Mali and north Niger to give up violence and lay down arms so that peace and development could be achieved.The delegation came specially to express to the Leader Idnan tribes’ thanks and appreciation of his tireless efforts aiming to establish peace and security in north Mali and maintain the national unity of the Malian people so that they can devote themselves, especially youths, to build their country.During the meeting, the delegation told the Leader of the Revolution that all sheikhs, women and youths in the three provinces in north Mali are committed to his vision of realizing social peace in Mali in particular and in the community’s space in particular. They stressed that the confidence that the Leader enjoys is the guarantee of lasting peace in this space.They declared the Leader’s emphasis, during his visit on the 3rd of the current month to Mali, that they don’t need to plant lands with mines, but with trees.{ljbc}

Workshop Under theme of African Federal Government.

The scientific workshop under the theme of the African Federal Government Facts and Prospects , organized by the African Studies and Research Center, kicked off in Tripoli yesterday. The opening of the workshop was attended by Secretary of the African Union Affairs at the General People’s Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation, General Secretary of Cen-Sad Community, Heads and Members of the African political missions accredited to Great Jamahiriya, Coordinator of Sabah Shabia’s Social People’s Leaderships, Executive Secretary of the Arab-African Non-governmental Organizations, Director of the African Department at the General People’s Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation, African issues-interested teaching staff of the Libyan universities, and representatives of the International Center for Green Book Studies and Research, and of the Revolutionary Liaison Bureau. The participants observed one minute silence and read Suratu al-Fateha upon the pure souls the Palestinian Martyrs of Gaza. The scientific workshop deals with facts and prospects of establishment of the African Federal Government through scientific lectures, delivered by professors specialized in the African matters, covering its three topics. The first topic of the workshop discusses the importance of establishment of the African Federal Government; the Second topic, obstacles facing birth of this government and the third topic, the future of the African Union under the Federal Government. The Center’s director explained that the workshop came within the center’s effort to support endeavors to complete the African Union’s institutions and establish the African Federal Government.{ljbc}
