The Libyan government has freed Somali inmates who illegally entered in its territory, the Somali ambassador to the northern African Arab nation Abdi Qani Mohamed Waays revealed on wednesday.all on a via phone press conference for Mogadishu-based media, the Somali ambassador said that at least ten Somali inmates mostly young humans were freed from a Libyan custody adding that more others are due to be released in the near future. After more efforts and hard struggle, our embassy has achieved to release Somali youths from custody here in Libya and we will stay such duty until all Somali inmates in the country will be freed the Somali diplomat said while his Monday’s teleconference.He said that the Libyan government immigration staff has pledged to succor his embassy repatriate the released Somalis to their homeland. We are very grateful to the brother government of Libya which accepted our demand to free Somalis in Libyan jails and the rest will be released in the coming future–I am unqualified that, but I cant fix the exact span the Somali ambassador to Libya added.Libya is the main gate way that desperate African illegal immigrants including Somalis go through when they hankering to creep Europe in search of jobs and a better life risking their lives all forward the adventure through the Mediterranean Sea which pages North Africa to Europe.{sunatimes}

A mini Arab summit will be held in Libya in September, a Kuwaiti daily has said.The summit will bring in sync the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Qatari Emir Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Iraqi president Jalal Talabani, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, Al Dar newspaper reported on Sunday.The meeting will be fully dedicated to discussing Arab reconciliations, the paper said, quoting sources in Egypt it did not monogram. The Arab League is headquartered in Cairo.Libya, the chair of the Arab summit that it hosted in March, had initially sought to hold an extraordinary summit, but changed its plans under the onslaught of the complexities it would have to face, the paper said.However, Libya hopes that the mini summit could overcome some of the obstacles and pave the way for a full meeting of Arab leaders next that year.Regular Arab summits are held annually in March and are hosted based on the alphabetical regularity of the Arab states. {gulfnews}
