Six trucks carrying about (120) tons of food and baby milk crossed Awja passage from Waatasemu charity association Fund Libya for assistance and development in Africa of the General People’s Committee for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation to Gaza strip.Two envoys of Waatasemu charity association attended the crossing of trucks to the Gaza Strip.This was within the aid shipment on a ship board loaded with the 2nd Libyan humanitarian aid, which was called (Labek Gaza).{ljbc}

Acting Secretary of GPC for Foreign Liaison met Guyana Foreign Minister.

The acting Secretary of GPC for Foreign Liaison and International Cooperation met in Tripoli on Tuesday with Guyana’s Foreign Minister, who is accompanying President Bharrat Jagdeo in his current visit to Great Jamahiriya.During the meeting, they discussed means of promoting political relations between both countries and coordinating their stances regarding regional and international issues of common concern.They also discussed bolstering bilateral relations, supporting cooperation of African-Latin spaces, especially that Guyana hosts the General Secretariat of the Caribbean Community They also agreed during this meeting to discuss potential cooperation and joint investment in the areas of agriculture and mining.During the meeting, which was attended by the Director of Americas Affairs, the Foreign Minister expressed her condemnation of the Zionist massacres against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip; she also expressed surprise over the international silence towards the massacres.{ljbc}

Leader of the Revolution received yesterday President of the Republic of Guyana Bharat Jagdeo, who had arrived and the delegation accompanying him to Libya yesterday. The Leader and President of Guyana held the meeting discussed the promotion of cooperative relationship between the two unions of Africa and Latin as well as international issues of common concern, especially the political and economic development. During the meeting the president Jagdeo expressed sincere appreciation for the leading role by the Leader of the consolidation of relations of cooperation between the African and Latin spaces. Great Jamahiriya’s air bridge continued yesterday delivering humanitarian assistance provided by Libyan people to their besieged Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip and who are facing a collective extermination by forces of the Terrorist Zionist Army Organization. The Libyan planes are carrying 20 tons of medicine, medical equipments, three fully equipped ambulances and a mobile operating room, provided by Gaddafi International Foundation for Charity and Development, General Union of Trade and Industry Chambers, and individuals. {ljbc}

Egypt denies Kadhafi’s son permission to land at airport.

Egyptian authorities denied permission for Seif al-Islam, son of Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi, to fly into El-Arish airport to reach the Rafah crossing to Gaza, the Kadhafi Foundation said late Sunday.Seif al-Islam wanted to visit the embattled Gaza Strip via the Rafah terminal to express his support for the Palestinian people, according to an official from the Foundation, which the leader’s son heads.He contacted the Egyptian authorities on Saturday seeking clearance to land at El-Arish but they turned him down because of fears for his safety, the Foundation official told AFP.It was Seif al-Islam’s second attempt to go to Gaza, the official said.The Foundation also said two Libyan aircraft arrived at El-Arish on Sunday to evacuate Palestinians wounded by Israel’s air and ground attack on the Gaza Strip.Libyan doctors are at the Rafah terminal to treat the emergency cases, it said, adding that Al-Marwa, a Libyan boat carrying aid to Gaza, docked on Sunday at El-Arish port.{AFP}
