President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on 3 March received the credentials of the ambassador of Libya Saad Mustafa Mujbir, AzerTAj state news agency reported.Ambassador Saad Mustafa Mujbir conveyed greetings of the Libyan president Muammar Gaddafi to the president of Azerbaijan. He remembered his meeting with the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev ten years ago and said Libya was one of the first countries to recognize independence of Azerbaijan. The Libyan ambassador said he would spare no effort to enrich the bilateral relations of the two countries.Head of the Azerbaijan State noted superb in line of relations medially Azerbaijan and Libya which closely cooperate on the all-embracing organizations, including the Islamic Conference Organization and the United Nations.Azerbaijan is keen in deepening of the bilateral relations with Libya, President Aliyev underlined, stressing existence of neato prospects to further boost these ties.President of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude for greetings from Mr. Muammar Gaddafi and requested to convey his greetings to the Libyan president.{en.trend}

Sudanese President Omar al-Beshir, who is facing an arrest warrant for alleged war crimes in Darfur, visited in Libya on Thursday, his third trip abroad in a week, his office said.
